影视文化研究中心是整合西南交通大学优质影视理论研究水平和精良的影视制作水平的平台,致力于通过理论和实践良好结合,倾力研究现代影视文化、艺术、技术的理论和历史,探讨在全球化、数字化、产业化背景下影视文化事业的发展道路,建设具有国际视野和前瞻意识的中国特色的影视媒介理论,从而成为国内有影响的影视文化研究和批评中心。
中心现有专兼职研究人员、影视创作与制作人员10余人,其中教授3人,副教授5人。本中心与影视传播实验中心资源共享,近年来,本中心研究人员指导传播和艺术专业的研究生和本科生拍摄了数十部纪录片和手机电影,参加了四川国际电视节“金熊猫奖”大学生影视作品单元的竞赛等国内和国际影展,获得了中国高校影视学会“学院奖”二等奖等奖项。
The Center for Film and Television Cultures serves as the venue and platform for the integration of theories and practice in research and production of films and television programs. Concentrating on the research of theories, cultures, technologies, and history of modern films and television programs, the Center endeavors to explore approaches and tap the potentials in the development of the film and television industry under the globalized, digitalized, and industrialized setting, and formulate proactively new types of film and television theories with both Chinese characteristics and international vision.
There are over 10 full and part time staff members in the center, among them 3 are professors, and 5 associate professors. The Center shares its resources with the Studio for Communication, Film and Television. In recent years, under the supervision of the faculty, undergraduate and graduate students majoring in communication and art design have shot over ten documentaries and mobile phone movies, taken part in the contest for the Gold Panda Award for Film and Television Programs by University Students at the Sichuan International Television Festival, and won the second prize in the Academy Award of China University Film and Television Association.
